Kakosang!

Kakosang (Kaipholangso) Waterfall
A true beauty of mother nature, situated in Bokakhat, Golaghat district of Assam. The area of this waterfall is located about 13 km from Bokakhat town and 40 km from Kaziranga National Park. The waterfall comes down in between the coffee and rubber plantations of the district and makes some breathtakingly beautiful scene. Nature lovers will love to see this mesmerizing creation of mother nature. Now it is a top rated picnic spot in Assam for the locals and tourists. There is a lot of space around the waterfall that is ideal for picnickers. Tourists who are visiting Kaziranga National park can easily plan a one day visit to the waterfall. Youngsters enjoy this place a lot.
There is a small river where you can camp and cook food easily. A small Karbi hotel serves rice cooked in a bamboo tube and delicious pork meat which is also cooked in a bamboo tube. Rice and Pork per tube are just 50 rupees. Do a visit with your family, friends or loved ones. This place is not safe for night visit as the place is lonely. Worth visiting in daylight.

The trek is the fun part when you cross the small and medium steams again and again and this is what makes the place and the journey enjoyable worth all the efforts. Do this if you want some short and sweet adventure.

Best time to visit the waterfall is post-monsoon months. Overall it’s a lovely place for nature lovers and for photography. You’ll have a mini trekking experience.
